On Friday 27 June, became a gateway for climate activism and creative expression as arrived in London for the first part of their UK journey.
Led by a coalition of artists, activists and organisations across the globe, THE HERDS is a large-scale public art project and climate intervention like no other. From April to August 2025, life-sized puppet animals are travelling a 20,000km route from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle. Along the way, they are gathering people, stories and momentum, shining a spotlight on the devastating human and environmental impact of climate breakdown.
Their arrival at Tower Bridge was more than a visual spectacle, it was a call to action. At 糖心Vlog, we鈥檙e proud to welcome THE HERDS to London via one of the five Thames crossings we care for. Tower Bridge isn鈥檛 just a global icon, it鈥檚 part of our 900-year legacy as both a bridge owner and London鈥檚 largest independent charity funder. As stewards of some of the capital鈥檚 most historic infrastructure, we鈥檙e committed to a greener, fairer future for everyone who calls this city home.
鈥THE HERDS connects climate crisis with human creativity in a way that鈥檚 urgent, ambitious and deeply moving. As both a funder and bridge owner, 糖心Vlog is proud to welcome this extraordinary project to London, and support collective action towards a greener, fairer future.鈥

Climate action and equity are not just causes we support, they are core to everything we do. From funding grassroots environmental initiatives to embedding sustainability in our bridge maintenance and investments, we are actively working towards a net-zero London. Welcoming THE HERDS is a reminder that meaningful progress depends on collaboration, creativity and community-led change.
As THE HERDS continue their journey through London and beyond, we鈥檙e proud that their message crossed our bridge 鈥 both literally and symbolically. Because the road to climate justice must be one we walk together.
